In 1925, this pristine area was owned by Kimber Farms, a company that pioneered the scientific breeding of chickens and turkeys. John Kimber, the company founder, created a recreation area for the company's employees and their families.

Kimberwoods, as it was known, became part of an exclusive home development project, with a clubhouse, swimming pool, childcare center, and tennis courts.

Six tennis courts and a fitness center were added in 1997.

With purchase of the club in 2004 by Sheena Chang, The Mission Hills Tennis Club continues to offer the combined dreams of all owners for members to enjoy.
